In 2012, Sara Blakely became the world’s youngest female self-made billionaire. Blakely graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in communications. Blakely quickly developed an empire without advertising or outside money. Never refusing to pass up an opportunity to promote Spanx, Blakely acted as her own model on television and at in-store public appearances around the United States.
